Born in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Kyoritsu Women's University, department of Apparel Science Studies, Faculty of Home Economics. Studied the techniques of haute couture in Paris at Les Ecoles de la Chambre Syndicale de La Couture Parisienne.
