Pringle of Scotland is one of the oldest names in the Scottish borders, the birthplace of the British knitwear industry. Founded in 1815 by Robert Pringle, it became one of the first luxury knitwear manufacturers in the world, having expanded throughout Europe, the US and Japan during the 19th and 20th centuries. Today, Pringle of Scotland operates flagship stores in Sloane Street, London and the Hong Kong Landmark.
British born Alistair Carr has been appointed as Design Director in March 2011. A new chapter in Pringle of Scotland near 200 year old history now leads Carr's Passion for both cutting edge and contemporary luxury design to explore the rich heritage of the brand making this the perfect alliance for Pringle of Scotland.
