Rag and Bone is New York based high-end casual wear brand. The brand was founded by Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, who have no formal training in fashion industry. In 2002 when they felt unsatisfied with the current quality of jeans, they went to Kentucky to learn about jeans-making with the jeans craftsmen. Rag and Bone manufactures all of their products in US factories to maintain the authenticity of their products.
Although Rag and Bone's style is more casual, the brand seeks to ensure that each of their products is tailored with great detail and good construction. Attention to quality and craftmenship, combined with the British tailoring influence, leads the brand to its success now. Rag and Bone won the 2007 Swarovski Award for emerging talent in menswear and has been nominated for other prestigious awards.
Rag and Bone first launched its menswear line, then the womenswear after several seasons. Today, Rag and Bone also branches out to children wear, handbags, and shoes, with jeans and denim still their main products. |
